The Black Forest with its heavenly landscapes offers all those who love the outdoors a wide range of exciting and attractive leisure time activities and sights to see – from the famous Triberg waterfalls to historical train rides, bathing and leisure enjoyment at one of the many lakes. Experience more of the beauty of the nature park on one of the discovery trails or discover the special habitats of the Black Forest on a rock ridge or moorland walk. The unique mountainous landscape offers not only those who love outdoor activities in summer the possibility to hike, go Nordic walking or cycling, there is also plenty to satisfy those who love winter sports: breath-taking downhill slopes, cross-country skiing, snow shoes and winter hikes – here there is something for everybody!
Feldberg is, apart from the Alps, the highest mountain in Germany. From the peak you can see to the Vosges and the Swiss Alps. The idyll is easily accessed with hiking trails and mountain huts. In winter downhill and cross-country skiers bustle around with snowshoe walkers and snowboarders.
At a sedate pace, the historical steam train runs through the wild and romantic ravines, past idyllic villages, over viaducts and bridges, alongside the most well-loved Black Forest lakes or the Kaiserstuhl vines.

The largest Black Forest lake is loved by bathers, hikers and cyclists and also those who like fishing and doing water sports. The flat bank, the ferryboat, an open-air swimming pool with adventure playground, the nearby system of pathways and the cross-country skiing trails make this a family-friendly destination all year round.
Germany’s highest waterfalls: In Triberg the Gutach tumbles 163 metres into the depths in seven steps. Three paths lined with informative illustrated charts – natural, cultural or cascade path – safely lead walkers along the breath-taking nature show up and back.
In a dream location, Titisee is a much-loved excursion destination and moreover one of the cleanest bathing lakes in Germany. With a golf course, climbing practice garden and bathing paradise, the lake offers much more than the splendid view of the upper Black Forest.
