The Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon in Kirchzarten near Freiburg takes place this year from 12 - 14 July
It not only offers athletes a colorful supporting program, but is also a great experience for spectators, especially at the starts in Kirchzarten, Hinterzarten and Todtnauberg. The finish line is in Kirchzarten, where around 5000 mountain bikers are expected.
Children and young people can also show off their skills in this competition on Saturday afternoon.
Five routes from 43 to 116 km are available:
- the Ultra: 117 km, start and finish in Kirchzarten
- the Black Forest Ultra Gravel: 65 or 120 km, start and finish in Kirchzarten
- the Marathon: 77 km, start and finish in Kirchzarten
- the Speed Track: 52 km, start Todtnauberg, finish Kirchzarten

The municipality of Kirchzarten near Freiburg is the finish line for all routes of the Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon. However, the beautiful region in the east of Freiburg not only has a lot to offer mountain bikers. Recreation seekers can also discover the beautiful nature of the southern Black Forest. The center of the Dreisamtal is Kirchzarten, which is surrounded by the highest mountains in the Black Forest, Feldberg, Schauinsland and Kandel. The proximity to Freiburg is ideal for a visit to the beautiful cathedral city.
